TAURUS comes from Tri-Star Industries, a Singapore manufacturer that has worked on bolted joints for more than four decades. Tri-Star designs and builds its own tools, including the patented Swift Torque® hydraulic wrenches, accurate to ±2%. It rents them out and supplies the technicians who run them, subsea and topside.
That is why TAURUS knows what a pass sequence costs to get wrong, why a reading only counts if the tool was calibrated, and why the record has to survive a night shift with no signal. It was not designed from a specification. It was designed from the joint.

EXTRACT
AI reads the documents you already own — ISOs, P&IDs, flange drawings, BOMs — and builds the joint register on its own. Weeks of manual take-offs, done in minutes.

Anything the AI can’t resolve with confidence is flagged and routed to an engineer for review — nothing enters the register unchecked.

CALCULATE
The engineering engine works out every joint’s exact values and produces a calculated datasheet per joint — decided by engineering, not by rule of thumb.
Torque, tensioning pressure, preload, bolt load, pass values and tolerances — derived from the joint’s own drawing data, not someone’s memory.
Every datasheet goes through the approval workflow and is locked before release. Nothing reaches the field unless it has been checked, approved and locked.
The most expensive mistakes are decided before the wrench moves. The field executes verified numbers — it never invents them.
EXECUTE
One QR scan opens the right joint. The technician follows the on-screen bolt map and pass sequence while connected tools verify the work as it happens.
The bolt map shows which stud, which pass, in the right sequence — with live readings from connected wrenches, gauges and pumps checked against the approved values.
Bluetooth tools pair to the device and write torque and pressure straight to the Joint ID, synced over Wi-Fi or cellular as the pass completes. Photos, deviations and the technician’s confirmation — who and when — are captured the same way. Nothing is transcribed, so nothing is copied wrongly.
Inside a vessel, on a remote deck, on night shift with no signal — the job keeps running and every reading is held on the device. It syncs to the cloud the moment the connection returns, with the original timestamps intact. Losing signal never means losing the record.
INSPECT
Digital inspections at every stage — closing with the Joint Closure Report: the complete, traceable record of that joint.
Disassembly, assembly and post-tightening inspections with digital checklists and photo verification — each check resolved as Pass, Fail, Hold or NCR. Comments can be dictated instead of typed, so a note still gets left with gloves on.
Digital sign-off seals the record — readings, checks, people, tools and time — into one report that stands for the life of the joint.

Only what you hand us, and the minimum a website needs to work.
There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker on this site. Fonts and the 3D library are served from this domain rather than from Google or a CDN, so loading a page makes no request to anyone else.
What we do not collect
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We do not set cookies to profile you across sites. We do not ask for anything about your plant, your joints or your drawings on this website — that only happens inside the TAURUS platform, under a separate agreement.
Why we hold it
To reply to you, to arrange and run a demo, to send the newsletter you asked for, and to keep the site secure and working. Nothing here is used to build a profile of you.
Who else sees it
Our own team, and the service providers that make the site function — the host that serves these pages and the service that delivers form submissions to our inbox. They act on our instructions and only for that purpose.
We will disclose information where the law requires it. We will not hand it over otherwise.
How long we keep it
Demo enquiries are kept while we are in contact and for a reasonable period afterwards, so there is a record of what was discussed. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for 90 days, then deleted automatically.
If a demo leads to a customer relationship, the records that follow are governed by that agreement rather than by this page.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to sales@tristar.com.sg and we will act on it. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and using it is enough — you do not have to ask us as well.
Where local law gives you further rights, those apply too. Our Data Protection Officer is named in clause 10.
The TAURUS platform is separate
This notice covers this website. The TAURUS platform — where your joint registers, calculated values and closure reports live — is governed by the agreement with your organisation, which sets out where that data is held, who may reach it and how long it is kept.
If you use TAURUS through your employer, a request about platform data should go to your organisation in the first instance.

If this notice changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made obvious rather than slipped in.

Where TAURUS produces joint registers, calculated values, classifications, summaries or reports, those are decision support. They must be reviewed and validated by a competent person before anyone acts on them. Responsibility for what is done on the joint stays with the organisation doing it.
